India were the defending champions for the men’s team, but lost to China in the quarter-finals. South Korea were the defending champions for the women’s team, but lost to Indonesia in the semi-finals. China won both tournaments, defeating Indonesia in both finals.

In the semi-finals, China beat Malaysia 3-1, showcasing their strength and determination. Indonesia, on the other hand, defeated Chinese Taipei 3-1, setting the stage for an exciting final against China.

In the first men’s singles match of the final, Shi Y. Q. (BWF : 2)  of China faced off against Ginting A.S.(BWF : 7) of Indonesia. Shi Y.Q. dominated the match, winning with a score of 21-17, 21-6, securing a crucial victory for China. Shi YQ’s exceptional performance was highlighted by his ability to limit Ginting to just 1 point when Shi Y.Q. had reached 15 points in the second game. The game ended with Shi YQ winning 21-6.

The first men’s doubles match saw the Chinese duo of Liang WK and Wang C taking on the Indonesian pair of Alfian F. and Arduanto M.R. The match was fiercely contested, with the Chinese pair eventually emerging victorious with a score of 21-18, 17-21, 21-7.

The third match, the second men’s singles, was a pivotal moment for Indonesia as Christie Jonatan (BWF : 3) battled against Li.S.F. (BWF : 6) of China. However, China sealed their victory in the fourth match, the second men’s doubles, as the Chinese pair of He J.T. and Ren X.Y. defeated Fikri M.S. and Maulana B. of Indonesia with a score of 21-11, 21-15, securing the Thomas Cup for China.

In the semi-finals, China displayed their prowess by defeating Japan 3-0, while Indonesia secured their spot in the final by overcoming Korea with a similar 3-0 victory.

In the first women’s singles match, Chen Y.F. (BWF 2) of China faced off against Tunjung G.M. (BWF 9) of Indonesia. Chen Y.F. dominated the match with her aggressive play, winning with a score of 21-7, 21-16, securing an early lead for China.

The first women’s doubles match saw the Chinese pair of Chen Q.C. and Jia Y.F. taking on the Indonesian pair of Ramadhanti S.F.S. & Sugiarto R. The Chinese duo displayed exceptional teamwork and skill, defeating the Indonesian pair with a score of 21-11, 21-8, extending China’s lead to 2-0.

In the second women’s singles match, He B.J. (BWF 6) of China faced off against Wardoyo E.N.T. (BWF 38) of Indonesia.
